means "The Place of Light" in SisWati. We are situated in the little hamlet known as Brondal, 25 km outside of Nelspruit, in the hollow of a magnificent natural amphitheater and enjoy the cooler mountain air of the low veld escarpment edge.
Ekukhanyeni is a home from home
where the owners Stephanie and Ian Milne will welcome you as valued guests. We offer scrumptious breakfasts, great coffee and delicious home-cooked dinners on request, and our trade-mark is friendly and efficient service and peace and tranquility for all our visitors.
The guest house is surrounded by by natural forest and plantations with wonderful bird life. Situated within the Brondal Coservancy, guests are welcome to stroll along some of the forestry roads or take a slightly more energetic hike up the mountain, to take in some magnificent views of the valley below.
Have quiet time in the quaint mountain chapel or enjoy a stroll around the farm. Cool off in the sparkling pool or catch some of your favourite serials in the communal Television room. In the evening enjoy the crackling log fire and a delicious meal. This venue is ideal for groups get-togethers, family occasions or just individuals needing to relax.
The youth camp facilities are situated away from the Guest House, and we offer either a fully catered option or self-catering for youth groups. Our facilities include an obstacle course, "zip" line, games hall, volley ball court, soccer field, swimming pool, farm dams and plenty of space to get rid of some energy.
Accommodation at Ekukhanyeni:
Our rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Most rooms have twin beds and all have a shower, basin and toilet en suite.
Each room has a stunning view of the gardens and mountains.
Amenities are provided in the bathrooms and a well stocked tea tray welcomes the visitor. Overhead fans and heaters are provided.
The dormitories consist of bunk beds, and camp participants are required to bring their own bedding and towels. Leaders and teachers accompanying the youth are accommodated in our Guest House and enjoy the privacy and comfort there.

We are very centrally situated and are within easy reach of Kaapschehoop, Graskop and the Panorama Route and from the Kruger National Park!
The world famous Sudwala caves are 25 km away, as well as the town of White River and the elegant and quirky Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre.
Health & Climate:
Always at least 5 degrees cooler than Nelspruit and thus Ekukhanyeni is malaria free throughout the year.
