De Wagenhuis Guest House
sleeps 40 people in Seventeen luxurious rooms. We have a large swimming pool and outside relaxation area. The country guest house is on a working farm producing export citrus and milk.
Walks around the farm are a must. Fresh fruit is available from late March to end of July. You can also have all your meals on the farm, as there is a great kitchen and restaurant that will satisfy any palate.
The on farm activities include bird watching through the orchards and along the river. If you are feeling hungry, pick some fresh citrus in season right off the tree. Watch the cows being milked and perhaps help the calves to be fed. There is a large swimming pool that is great in summer. The best however, is to just enjoy our quiet space and relax.
Outside activities include great golfing, some of the best mountain walks in the Cape or a visit to the Bontebok National Park which the farm adjoins. One can in a day trip visit the whales at De Hoop or taste some of the best vines in the Overberg region. If you like mountain passes the beautiful Tradow Pass and Karroo town of Barrydale is on our doorstep.
