Welcome to Chartwell Castle and Guest House.

On the outskirts of Greater Johannesburg about 30 minutes from the old city Centre and on the Klein Jukskei River, stands this prominent four-storied Castle on 5 Ha (12 acres). The main building is of late 17th Century architectural style.

Our guest house is very spacious and peaceful, with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. We have the biggest known uninterrupted hedgerow maze in the Southern world (and the third biggest in the world), boasting more than 900 conifers.

It covers about 6000 sq.m. (approximately 1.5 acres), which is about 5 times bigger than The Hampton Court Maze.

One double suite and five double rooms with en-suite bathrooms and underfloor heating. Swimming pool, braai area. Our rooms are very spacious, private, and comfortable.

We have five suites with private bathrooms and under-floor heating, sleeping a total of 13 guests. They are all bright and spacious, with traditional country dcor.

We are located in tranquil Chartwell West, yet close to the main roads, shopping malls (Fourways Mall, Fourways Crossing, Broadacres Garden Centre, Cedar Square), Monte Casino, The Lion Park, Lanseria Airport, and Fourways Hospital.

Cancellation Policy:

- 0 to 14 days prior to arrival date, the full deposit is forfeited.
- 14 to 28 days prior to arrival date, 50% of the deposit is forfeited.
- >28 days prior to arrival date, 25% of the deposit is forfeited.
- A 10% handling fee to cover admin and bank charges will be deducted from all refunds.
- In the event of premature departure or late arrival, the full amount is due and no refund will be made.
- Any bank charges payable for direct deposits are for the guest's account.

- From N1 North turn left onto William Nicol Dr. After approx. 2 km take the left off-ramp onto Witkoppen Rd.

- Move into the far right-hand lane immediately Turn right into Cedar Rd. After approx. 3.5 km turn left into Third Ave.

- After approx. 2.5 km turn right into Hood Rd. (gravel road) Turn right at the gate. Welcome to Chartwell Castle!
