Indulge in the beauty of nature with deep gorges and clear rock pools. Unique Fauna and Flora abound in this bird-watchers` and wildlife paradise. Bateleur Nature Reserve is famous for its SAHTOA accredited Stamvrug Hiking Trails, consisting of seven different circular - and day trails, laid out amongst the kloofs and Escarpments.

Enjoy hiking, game viewing, bird watching, mountain biking, swimming and fishing but first and foremost relaxing in The Waterberg Wilderness.

After reporting to reception, you are on your own at Bateleur Nature Reserve. Once settled at the accommodation of your choice, you are requested to restrict driving to an absolute minimum. The Reserve is best explored on foot. You have the freedom to explore the gorges and rocky krantzes of The Waterberg, or go swimming in the clear bilharzia-free rock pools.

The Reserve offers you the freedom to be on your own in the bush to live and explore as you wish. In so doing, gain a more intimate knowledge of, and be entertained by the Waterbergs unique eco-system.

Apart from its breathtaking view of the Waterberg Mountain range, Mispel Cottage # 5 overlooks a watering hole. Visitors can expect to see most game from their front stoep. It has two bedrooms, both en-suite.

Carved high into the mountainside with a breathtaking view of the plateau, the upper wetland and typical Waterberg mountain scenery, nestles this spacious villa. Mountain Villa has a large dining-room/lounge and a family- or conference room.

This comfortable, self-catering unit is situated on a North-facing gradient looking North-East. A Wrap around Stoep provides you with breathtaking views of the Waterberg. You will find a well equipped braai area under the trees.

Cancellation 0 to 7 days prior forfeit 100% of the deposit.
Cancellation 7 to 14 days prior forfeit 75% of the deposit.
Cancellation 14 to 21 days prior forfeit 50% of the deposit or 15% of the booking total, whichever the greater. Cancellation more than 21 days prior forfeit 25% of the deposit or 15% of the booking total, whichever the greater.

Directions:

Take the N1 Pietersburg (Polokwane) from Gauteng up to Warmbaths (Bela-Bela) off ramp (R516).
Turn right at the Warmbaths Water Front. Take the first road left. (Potgieter Str.) Follow the road up to Chris Hani Str. Take slipway to the left into Chris Hani Str.
Just past the entrance to Aventura, turn right into Grobler Road (direction Elandsfontein, Warmbaths Dam, Rankin's Pass). Carry on straight with dual carriage way. Road becomes Robertson.
Leave Warmbaths after Tuintuiste on the left and carry on for 9 km on tar. Then turn right at Nooitgedacht Sign. After 500m tar road becomes gravel road.
Carry on straight for exactly 17 km.
Turn left into Bateleur Nature Reserve at the sign opposite a small farm school. Carry on following the signs on the Reserve.
