Set on the edge of the cliffs, overlooking the whale watchers paradise of Walker Bay is an intimate French Provencal retreat, inspired by a beautiful chateau on the hills of an ancient village outside St. Remy. Rustic stone and wrought iron balconied faade, stone floors and an arched walkway invite you in to an incomparable vista over the cliffs, fynbos and the bay. Local attractions are world renowned and within a kilometer of Auberge Provence. The most famous of these are whale watching from the cliffs (which are on our doorstep) or from boats or the air at the New Harbour or Gansbaai and shark cage diving from either the New Harbour or Gansbaai. Trips can be arranged by management to suit your schedule. Other superb options are trips to Dyer Island to see one of the largest seal colonies, wine tasting on the Hermanus or Franschoek wine routes, a trip to Cape Agulhas to visit the most southern tip of Africa, walks on the mountains and cliff paths with the magnificent display of fynbos or simply enjoying warm, wonderful days on the pristine, white Hermanus beaches
