Aquila Private Game Reserve Safari & Spa
is named after the rare and endangered resident Black Eagles and boasts a breathtakingly beautiful 7500 hectare Karoo conservancy.
Proudly, for the first time in 250 years one can experience a Big-5, day trip safari under 2 hours from Cape Town, where visitors can enjoy a game drive experience among lions and other members of the Big 5 as well as an enormous variety and amount of safari wildlife.
The Reserve is set in the malaria free famous Fynbos, Succulent Karoo and extremely rare Renosterveld vegetation that was once the favorite hunting grounds of the ancient Khoi/San hunter-gatherers.

We had a very nice 2 nights stay in one of the new rooms with a nice terrasse. Beautifull nature and a lot of animals to watch from the terrasse. Food is OK.

Nice and big family chalet, Very good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (buffet). Very helpful ranger on the game drive (sparkling wine free of charge included). Not so many animals-from the big five: 2 Elephants, 4 Rhino, 2 Buffalo, 6 Lions, 1 Leopard (behind a fence!). To many birds in the dining room which eat from the buffet bar.

Food at dinner was of poor quality. Service in dining room not up to standard. Too few animals. Unfortunately I can not recommend it.
