With George airport 20 minutes away and Oudtshoorn, George, Knysna, Stilbaai, Sedgefield, Wildernis which can be reached within 1 hour Bokmakierie is perfectly based for exploring numerous attractions around Mossel Bay (Karoo at the sea) and the Garden Route.

From all Amzee Bokmakierie rooms you have a spectacular full view of the Indian Ocean, kloof and mountains covered with unique coastal fynbos. Dolphins and whales (in season) can be watched and wildlife such as Bushbuck, Grysbuck can be seen frequently. This trail is rated as one of the top 10 trails in SA by the " Getaway" A weekend trail can be done alternatively with Amzee Bokmakierie as home base.

Directions:

From Cape Town follow N2 towards Mossel Bay. Turn right at the first traffic light to Dana Bay at the biginning of Mossel Bay town. At the first fourway stop in Dana Bay turn left with Malva road and right with Nerina Road. Follow Nerina Road for 800m until you reach Bokmakierie Guest House.

From George you follow the N2 to Cape Town and turn off to the Casino. At the T junction turn left and turn right at the traffic light to Dana Bay. At the four way stop turn left with malva road and right with Nerina Road. Follow Nerina for 800m until you reach Bokmakierie Guest House.
